Where do you find your Google reviews?
"My Google reviews" means 2 different things and they live in 2 different places. Reviews you wrote sit under Your contributions in Google Maps. Reviews customers left for your business sit under Read reviews on the Business Profile, and replying to them requires a verified profile.
Where do you find the reviews you wrote?
Open Google Maps on a computer, click Menu at the top left, choose Your contributions, then Reviews. Everything posted from that Google Account is listed there, whichever business it was left for. If the list is empty, the usual explanation is that the reviews were written while signed in to a different Google Account rather than that anything was removed.
Where does a business owner read reviews left for it?
Through the Business Profile itself, by selecting Read reviews. Google's guidance adds a condition owners often meet late: "Before you can reply to reviews, you must verify your business." The free Maps Agent Visibility Score audit reads the public rating and review count from the outside, which is the same data a customer sees before deciding whether to call.
How do you see your Google reviews on an iPhone?
The path is the same one, inside the Google Maps app: tap the account picture, then Your contributions, then Reviews. There is no separate iPhone list and no iOS-only setting that hides reviews. A missing review on a phone almost always means the app is signed in to a different account from the one that wrote it.
Can you edit or delete a review you wrote?
Yes, and only the author can. In Your contributions, next to the review, choose More and then Edit review or Delete review. Google's help notes that a review stays visible on Google Maps until its author removes it, so a business owner waiting for an unfair review to lapse is waiting for something that does not happen on its own.
Does an edited review keep its original date?
No. Google states that an edited review shows the date it was last modified rather than the date it was first posted. That matters when a run of reviews looks suspiciously recent: some of them may be old reviews their authors revisited, which is an ordinary thing for a customer to do after a problem was resolved.
Why is a review missing from a business profile?
The common reasons are a removal under the Maps user contributed content policy, a reviewer deleting their own review, or an account being actioned across every listing it ever touched. Google publishes no notification when it removes a review, so the disappearance is usually noticed by the owner counting rather than announced by Google.
Can a business stop people leaving Google reviews?
No. Reviews are a public feature of Google Maps, and there is no setting on a Business Profile that turns them off or requires approval before one appears. An owner's control is limited to reporting reviews that break the content policy and replying publicly to the rest, which is the whole of the available surface.
Who can see that you wrote a Google review?
Everyone. A review is published under the reviewer's Google Account profile name and picture, alongside their other public contributions, and Google offers no anonymous review. That visibility runs both ways: it is also how an owner assessing a suspicious review can see whether the same account has reviewed unrelated businesses across the country.

Common questions
- Can a business owner see who left a review?
- They see exactly what any customer sees: the reviewer's public Google Account name, their picture, and their other public contributions. Google does not pass the reviewer's email address, order history or contact details to the business, which is why matching a review to a customer record is often guesswork.
- Do you need a verified profile to reply to reviews?
- Yes. Google's guidance states that a business must be verified before it can reply, and that once verified it can reply from the Business Profile. An unverified listing can still collect reviews the whole time, which is how an owner discovers a year of feedback they were never able to answer.
- Is a reply to a review public?
- Yes, and Google describes what a reader sees: an approved reply is posted publicly under the customer's review and appears as the business replying, without showing the personal name of whoever wrote it. It is written for the next reader far more than for the reviewer it addresses.
- Why can't I see my own review on a business page?
- Check which Google Account the browser or app is signed in to first, because that explains most cases. After that, the possibilities are that the review was removed under the content policy or that the account which posted it was actioned. Google sends no notice in either case.
- How do you find reviews for a business you are considering?
- Search the business in Google Maps and open its listing; the reviews sit under the rating with the newest and the most relevant surfaced first. Reading the replies is worth as much as reading the reviews, because how a business answers a complaint is the part it actually controls.
