The roster

The Maps Agent team

Maps Agent runs an existing Google Business Profile with a roster of 8 roles: 6 AI specialists, the researchers who build and check them, and human specialists on Partner. BrightLocal’s 2025 survey of US small businesses, published 7 August 2025, found that 54% of them run their marketing alone.

People do the science, agents do the work

What does each role do for you?

Each role is a job on your Google Business Profile, not a job title on a slide: no faces, no names, a glyph instead. Roles by tier are on the pricing page.

The Researcher

Studies your business before anything is written: your site, your services, the area you actually serve. Facts are traced back to real pages of your site, and claims that cannot be traced are screened out rather than invented.

In your report

Your site read end to end, your services and service area confirmed, and the claims we could not verify dropped

The Keyword Analyst

Builds the list of searches that actually bring you customers, including the questions people now ask AI assistants out loud. Every keyword is tied to a service you really offer.

In your report

100 keywords for the month across base, voice and geo, each one tied to a service you offer

Included on AI Team and Partner

The Writers

Load your services and products with the keywords that rank, and write the posts, the profile description and the Q&A. Written for how Google and AI engines read a local business, not for a word count.

In your report

Everything that went out this month, item by item, with the date it was published

Included on Autopost, AI Team and Partner

The AI Editor

Checks what the writers produce against the facts of your real business, and against two dozen categories of risky claims. It is an AI role, not a person reading over your shoulder.

In your report

What was checked, and what was sent back for a claim we could not stand behind

Included on Autopost, AI Team and Partner

The Designer

Creates the images that go out with your content, matched to your trade and your city, based on who actually lives and buys there. Not stock photos of somebody else's business.

In your report

The images made this month, next to the content they went out with

Included on Autopost, AI Team and Partner

The Analyst

Tracks where you actually rank across the map grid around your business, and who is above you. The movement and the competitors land in your report.

Where you rank across the grid around your business, who is above you, and what moved

Included on AI Team and Partner

Each line is written the day the work happens; the report closes the month. The order is on how it works after you pay.

What do the researchers study, and what do they never do?

A quiet analyst desk early in the morning: annotated printouts, a notebook and reading glasses under a desk lamp

The researchers

People study the ranking systems and the AI answer surfaces, run the data reports, and improve the methods the team works by. They work on the agents, not on you, and they will never call you.

What they study
How Google ranks a local business on Maps, and how AI assistants pick which one to name. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode are asked what buyers ask, and the answers are counted.
What they publish
The measured panel of AI answers, on the about page: the sample size, the interval around the headline rate, and the number least flattering to Maps Agent.
What they never do
Call you, manage your account, or stand in for the account manager the AI tiers do not have. What else Maps Agent refuses is on the principles page.

Sergey Sulimko founded Maps Agent and still decides what ships. He is the face of the research, not its working hands.

What is the Maps Agent method?

Every claim the roster writes about your business is traced to a page of your own site or your Google Business Profile; what cannot be traced is dropped. Google states what local ranking rests on:

“Local results are mainly based on relevance, distance, and popularity.”

Distance is not ours to move, and the same guidance states there is no way to pay for a better local ranking. Relevance and popularity are what the roster works on.

“The best practices for SEO remain relevant for AI features in Google Search (such as AI Overviews and AI Mode).”

So there is no separate program for Google’s AI surfaces: what makes a profile findable in Maps is what AI Overviews and AI Mode read. What ChatGPT or Perplexity say is measured by the researchers, never promised.

Who is on the partner team?

The partner team

On the Partner tier only: human specialists, including a personal manager, direct and verify everything the team ships, and put your own photographs on the profile instead of generated images. You meet them on a call before you buy.

Included on Partner

It is the only call on this site. Book the meet-your-team call when you want it.

Questions people ask about the team

How many roles work on my Google Business Profile?
Maps Agent runs a roster of 8 roles: 6 AI specialists, the human researchers who build and check them, and a partner team on Partner only. Autopost includes 4 of the AI roles; AI Team and Partner include all 6.
Does anyone from the team call me?
No. Autopost and AI Team are self-serve, and the request form has no phone field, so there is no salesperson to get past and no account manager to chase. Partner has one call, the meet-your-team call, and it happens before you buy.
Who checks what the writers publish?
The AI Editor role checks what the Writers produce against the facts of your own business, and sends back a claim it cannot stand behind. It is a check by an AI role, not a guarantee about every line. On Partner, human specialists verify the work too.
Can the team create a Google Business Profile for me?
No. Maps Agent works on a Google Business Profile that already exists and is verified in your name; it does not register one for a business that has none. Access is a manager-role invitation you send, and you can withdraw it any time.
Where do I see what the roster did this month?
In your report: a page you open from a link, plus an email digest when there is something in it. Maps Agent has no client dashboard to learn; your account page is a switchboard for the plan, the billing and the access.

What would the team find on your profile?
