Your Reputation Is Protected at Every Step
Why Compliance Matters
The Cost of Getting Email Wrong
Email compliance is not a feature. It is the foundation that determines whether outreach builds your reputation or destroys it.

Domain reputation damage
Most outreach platforms leave compliance to the user. They provide sending infrastructure and say “follow the rules.” The problem: most users do not know the rules. They send too frequently, skip required elements, use misleading subject lines, or continue emailing people who opted out.
Maps Agent does not leave compliance to chance. Every email passes through a 7-step pipeline that is enforced in code — not in documentation, not in best-practice guides, not in training materials. In code. There is no way to bypass it, no admin override, no “send anyway” button.
This is not just about avoiding fines. It is about protecting the one thing that makes outreach work: trust. A well-crafted email from a reputable domain lands in the inbox. A non-compliant email from a flagged domain lands in spam — or worse, gets your domain blacklisted permanently.
The Pipeline
7 Steps Before Every Email
Each step must pass before the next runs. If any step fails, the email is held. No exceptions.
Suppression Check
Respecting every opt-out, permanently.
Before any email is composed, the system checks the recipient against our suppression list. Anyone who has ever opted out, unsubscribed, or requested removal is permanently excluded. This check runs first because it is non-negotiable — if someone said no, they never hear from us again. The suppression list follows the minimum data principle: we store only the email address, nothing else.
Frequency Check
No inbox flooding. Strict limits enforced.
Each recipient can receive a maximum of 3 emails per 30-day period, with a minimum 5-day gap between messages. This is not a guideline — it is a hard limit enforced in code. The system tracks every send timestamp per recipient and blocks any email that would exceed these thresholds. Most email platforms leave frequency management to the user. We enforce it structurally, because inbox respect is not optional.
Content Validation
Every legal requirement, verified automatically.
Every outbound email is scanned for mandatory CAN-SPAM elements: a physical mailing address, a working unsubscribe link, clear commercial identification, and honest subject lines. The system also verifies that the email identifies Maps Agent as the sender. No email leaves the system without all required elements present and correctly formatted. This is not a manual review — it is an automated validation that runs on every single message.
AI Factual Content Check
AI reviews AI. No false claims leave the system.
An independent AI model reviews every email for factual accuracy, misleading claims, and content that could violate FTC guidelines. The AI checks for unsupported statistics, exaggerated promises, and any language that implies guaranteed results. If the content does not pass the factual review, the email is blocked and flagged for revision. This is the layer that prevents the kind of inflated claims that damage trust and invite regulatory scrutiny.
Domain Health Check
Continuous monitoring. Automatic protection.
The system monitors bounce rates and complaint rates for every sending domain in real time. If a domain's bounce rate exceeds 2% or its complaint rate exceeds 0.1%, outbound sending is automatically paused for that domain. At higher thresholds — bounce rate above 5% or complaints above 0.3% — a circuit breaker triggers, halting all sends from the domain until the issue is resolved. This protects both sender reputation and recipient inbox quality.
Rate Limiting
Controlled volume. No spam-like behavior.
Every sending inbox is limited to 20 emails per hour and 35 emails per day. Every sending domain is limited to 150 emails per day across all inboxes. These limits are based on deliverability research showing that 30-40 emails per day per inbox is the safe zone for maintaining sender reputation. The system enforces these limits in code — there is no override, no exception, no manual bypass. Volume is controlled because volume control is what separates legitimate outreach from spam.
Final Send
Only after all checks pass.
The email is sent only after passing all six preceding checks. If any check fails, the email is held. No exceptions. The system logs every decision — every send, every block, every pause — creating a complete audit trail. This means we can demonstrate compliance for every email, at any time, to any regulator or partner who asks.
Automatic Protection
Circuit Breakers
When metrics cross safety thresholds, the system acts immediately. No human intervention needed.
Warning Level
- Bounce rate exceeds 2% — sends paused
- Complaint rate exceeds 0.1% — sends paused
Critical Level

The Difference
Why Maps Agent's Outreach Is Different
Compliance is not a checkbox we tick. It is the architecture of every email we send.
Open tracking is disabled
Gmail and other providers flag emails with tracking pixels. This damages deliverability and inbox placement. Research shows that disabling open tracking doubles reply rates. We prioritize deliverability over vanity metrics.
Sending domains are isolated
Outreach emails are sent from dedicated domains — separate from maps-agent.com. Each domain runs through full authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). If a domain has a deliverability issue, it is isolated. The primary brand domain is never at risk.
Two-tier email verification
Before any email is sent, the recipient address is verified through two independent services. This catches invalid addresses, spam traps, and disposable emails before they can damage sender reputation. Most platforms verify once. We verify twice.
Every action is logged
Every send, block, pause, and suppression is recorded with timestamps and reasons. This creates a complete audit trail that can demonstrate compliance to any regulator, partner, or client who asks.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if someone unsubscribes from Maps Agent emails?
They are permanently added to our suppression list and will never receive another email from Maps Agent. The suppression check is the first step in our 7-step pipeline — it runs before anything else. We store only the email address (minimum data principle for CCPA compliance).
How does Maps Agent prevent email spam?
Every outbound email passes through a 7-step compliance pipeline: suppression check, frequency limits (max 3 per 30 days with 5-day gaps), content validation (CAN-SPAM requirements), AI factual review, domain health monitoring, and strict rate limiting (35/day/inbox, 150/day/domain). No email bypasses this pipeline.
What are the CAN-SPAM penalties for non-compliance?
CAN-SPAM violations carry penalties of up to $53,088 per email. California's Business & Professions Code 17529 adds a private right of action at $1,000 per email. Maps Agent's compliance pipeline ensures every email meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements.
Does Maps Agent use open tracking in emails?
No. Open tracking is disabled across all Maps Agent outreach. Gmail and other providers flag emails with tracking pixels, which damages deliverability and inbox placement. Research shows that disabling open tracking doubles reply rates. We prioritize deliverability and recipient trust over vanity metrics.
How does Maps Agent protect sending domain reputation?
Continuous monitoring with automatic circuit breakers. If a domain's bounce rate exceeds 2% or complaint rate exceeds 0.1%, sends are paused. Above 5% bounces or 0.3% complaints, the domain is automatically suspended. Sending domains are separate from maps-agent.com to protect the primary brand domain.
