Should I choose Maps Agent or Local Falcon for local visibility work?
No contracts. Cancel anytime.12 Maps Agent publishes tiered Google Business Profile work with profile reporting.1 Local Falcon publishes credit-based geo-grid scans, local-rank reports, and AI-visibility measurement across several answer surfaces, including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Grok, and AI Mode.23 The right choice depends on whether the first job is recurring profile work or repeatable visibility measurement.
| Question | Maps Agent | Local Falcon | What the difference means |
|---|---|---|---|
| What is the primary unit? | Profile work, profile activity, and a position-grid report on defined keywords and competitors.1 | One credit represents one geo-grid data point or map pin. A 5×5 scan uses 25 credits.2 | Compare a profile-work scope with a scan-and-measurement unit, not with a shared feature checklist. |
| What work is published? | Scheduled posts, business research, Products and Q&A work, description optimization, keyword mapping, images, and reporting, depending on the tier.1 | Scan setup, scheduled scans, local-rank reports, competitor and trend reports, and AI-visibility reports.24356 | Maps Agent describes work carried out on the profile. Local Falcon's cited materials describe configurable scans and reports. |
| What does reporting cover? | A public report page records what shipped and what is next. Profile numbers include views, calls, directions, site visits, and searches. Higher scope adds a position-grid report with competitors.1 | Scan, Campaign, Competitor, and Trend Reports, public report URLs, CSV/PDF exports, and AI-visibility reporting.24356 | Ask whether the report needs to explain profile activity, grid positions, competitor context, or AI-referenced sources. |
| How is AI visibility measured? | The published scope names profile metrics and a keyword position-grid report.1 | Local Falcon names ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Grok, and AI Mode, with repeated responses for each prompt and measures such as Share of AI Voice, sentiment, and referenced sources.3 | These are different observations. A profile action, a geo-grid position, and an AI-visibility share are not interchangeable. |
| Who is added at higher scope? | AI Team adds the broader profile work. Partner adds a human team, a personal manager, the business's own photos, and manual quality control.1 | The cited workflow is organized around selecting scan parameters, scheduling scans, and reading reports.2456 | Choose by who needs to carry the recurring profile work and who needs to run or interpret the measurement. |
| How are the published plan rows metered? | The live catalog lists Maps Agent's monthly plans and their catalog composition.1 | Local Falcon's pricing page lists monthly and annual package rows. It says as-needed pricing remains available after account creation and portal login.2 | Keep plan prices, profile work, and scan credits as separate records. They are not interchangeable units. |
What is the main difference between Maps Agent and Local Falcon?
Maps Agent's published scope is profile work plus reporting. Local Falcon's published materials center on scan credits, geo-grid observations, competitor context, trend reports, and AI-visibility measurement. That makes the buying question operational: do you need changes and reporting on a Google Business Profile, or a repeatable way to inspect visibility across locations, keywords, and answer surfaces?1243
What does Maps Agent publish for profile work?
Maps Agent's Autopost tier lists scheduled posts with original images, one-time business research, a public report page, and profile numbers for views, calls, directions, site visits, and the searches that found the profile. The published posting scope is four posts per month.1
AI Team adds 100 keywords per month mapped to intent and a specific service, four new Google Products entries per month, four Q&A posts per month, four Q&A services per month, business-description optimization, and a position-grid rank report with competitors. Partner adds a human team, a personal manager, the business's own photos, manual quality control, and a meet-your-team call.1
How do Local Falcon's monthly and annual packages differ?
Local Falcon's pricing page displays four monthly packages and four annual packages. It says as-needed pricing remains available after account creation and portal login. Each view shows its printed billing basis, credit allotment, per-credit display, keyword and location fields, and the monthly Starter Trial label. Read on 2026-10-05.2
The monthly and annual rows carry different credit allotments, so record the billing period and credit total together rather than compare plan names alone. Do not derive a new per-credit price or monthly equivalent from the displayed rows. The page also keeps Enterprise, pay-as-you-go, Falcon AI, and the on-demand API paths separate from the named package rows.2
Local Falcon says additional pay-as-you-go credits are available through Billing > Credits and Subscriptions and do not expire, while package allotments expire at the end of their billing cycle.2
The live Maps Agent catalog lists Autopost, AI Team, and Partner as monthly plans with their own composition. Those profile-work rows use a different unit from Local Falcon's credit rows.1
How does Local Falcon measure local visibility?
Local Falcon defines a credit as one geo-grid data point, also called a map pin. Its pricing page uses a 5×5 grid as a 25-credit example. The page states that unused credit allotments expire at the end of each billing cycle.2
Local Falcon's pricing page lists Scan Reports, Campaign Reports, Competitor Reports, Trend Reports, public report URLs, and CSV/PDF exports.2 Its Competitor Report uses the same parameter set as the user's Scan Report and can list up to 99 competitors with ARP, ATRP, and SoLV context.6
Falcon AI analysis and optimization recommendations for a scan use 25 credits per report. That charge is separate from the scan's grid-point use, so a buyer should record both when comparing recurring measurement cost.2
What access rules does Local Falcon publish?
Local Falcon says a new account receives 100 free credits. It says Falcon Agent is included free with credit-package subscriptions. Integrations including Looker Studio and Zapier are free with any credit package larger than the Starter monthly plan; the pricing page names Basic monthly and Starter annual as qualifying examples. The on-demand API is a separate subscription and usage-fee path, not a package feature.2
What does Local Falcon report about AI search visibility?
Local Falcon says identical prompts can produce different AI-search responses, so its AI-visibility workflow samples multiple responses for each prompt. The named surfaces are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Grok, and AI Mode. The named outputs include Share of AI Voice, sentiment and Buyer Persuasion Score, brand phrases, and the sources referenced by the AI response.3
That report answers a different question from Google Business Profile Performance. Local Falcon reports observed presence across its declared prompts and surfaces. Google Business Profile Performance reports available profile views, searches, and customer actions on Search and Maps. Neither measurement is a ranking promise.73
Which reports should a local business compare?
Compare the report's unit before comparing its layout. Maps Agent's report joins work shipped, profile activity, and, at the higher tier, keyword-position observations with competitors. Local Falcon's report family separates scan results, campaigns, competitors, trends, public sharing, exports, and AI-visibility observations.12436
Local Falcon's Trend Report becomes available after at least two scheduled scans use the same parameter set. The report then charts ARP, ATRP, and SoLV over time. Keep the scan parameters fixed when comparing Trend Report readings.5
How can I run a repeatable scan-credit check?
Local Falcon says scan-credit planning depends on six settings: grid size, keyword count, locations or listings, Falcon AI use, tracked platforms, and scan frequency. Use a fixed record for every check so a change in credits has a clear cause.2
| Setting to hold fixed | Source-backed reference point | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Listing and keywords | The pricing page says the average user typically starts with about 10 keywords. | The listing, keyword set, and any competitor listings included. |
| Grid size | A 5×5 grid uses 25 credits. The page also gives 9×9 as 81 credits. | The grid dimensions and the scan's grid-point credit use. |
| Platforms | Local Falcon names Google and Apple as tracked platforms. | The platform or platforms selected for the scan. |
| Falcon AI | Falcon AI analysis and recommendations use 25 credits per report. | Whether Falcon AI was added and the separate report-credit use. |
| Frequency | Local Falcon recommends weekly or bi-weekly scans for trend analysis. | The schedule and the dates each scan ran. |
Do not add profile actions, grid points, and AI-visibility measures into one score. They describe different surfaces. Keep the scan settings, billing period, credits used, and report date together.2735
Use one fixed Google baseline and one fixed Local Falcon scan design. Keep the two measurement systems separate in the log.
- Check Google Business Profile Performance. Use a verified Business Profile and sign in to the Google Account associated with it. In Google Search, open the Business Profile, click Performance, choose a fixed reporting period, and click Apply. In the Google Maps app, open Business, tap See more beside Performance, choose the same kind of period, and tap Apply.7
- Record the Google baseline. Save the views, searches, and customer-action metrics that appear for that profile and period. Google says available metrics can include interactions, directions, calls, website clicks, messages, bookings, products, menus, and offers, but the metrics shown depend on the business.7
- Configure the Local Falcon scan. Keep the same listing, keyword set, location, grid size, scan radius, tracked platform, AI search source or map source, and scan schedule on every run. Record the grid-point credit use and the separate AI report-credit use when Falcon AI is selected.235
- Run at least two scheduled scans. Keep the parameters fixed before using the Trend Report. Compare Google profile actions, Local Falcon grid observations, and Local Falcon AI-visibility measures in separate columns. They describe different surfaces and cannot be added into one visibility number.75
Which service fits the work I need done?
Maps Agent is the clearer published fit when the recurring job is profile work, scheduled profile content, profile-activity reporting, and a keyword position-grid report. Local Falcon is the clearer published fit when the recurring job is configurable local-rank scans, competitor and trend reporting, or repeated AI-visibility measurement.12435
Compare a provider's named services and costs, not a broad package name.

How was this comparison checked?
The comparison was checked on 2026-10-05 against Maps Agent's public pricing page and catalog-backed plan composition, Local Falcon's pricing page, Campaign Report, AI Search Visibility, Trend Report, and Competitor Report pages, plus Google's Business Profile performance guide. Local Falcon's package rows, credit and access rules, API path, integration threshold, and scan-planning settings were re-read on that date.
To repeat the commercial check, open the Local Falcon pricing page, read both its Monthly and Annual views, and record each plan's printed amount, billing basis, credits, per-credit display, keyword and location fields, and labels. Then open the Maps Agent pricing page and match each tier to the catalog-backed work it lists. Keep Local Falcon credits separate from Maps Agent profile-work quantities, preserve each billing basis, and do not normalize unlike units. Repeat the check quarterly, or sooner when either pricing URL changes, a vendor changes a displayed price or plan scope, or the Maps Agent catalog changes.
