How do Maps Agent and SOCi differ?

By Sergey Sulimko, Founder

Maps Agent publishes month-to-month tiers for profile-level Google Maps work. Its pricing page says every tier is month to month and the displayed price includes no setup fee, no contract, or per-location charge.1 SOCi describes an Agentic Workforce across channels and locations, with Local Search, Reputation, and Social agents. Its public page displayed no numeric plan amount, named tier price, or billing unit on October 5, 2026.2

Responsibility or buying question Maps Agent's public page1 SOCi's public page2 What to decide
Working scope Work is described around a customer's Google Business Profile. The page also lists a public report page and profile metrics. The Agentic Workforce is described as working 24/7 across channels and locations. Decide whether the brief is profile-level or spans several locations and channels.
Listings and local search Profile publishing is described, while citation building and directory listings are outside every tier. Local Search Agent lists listing management, local-page optimization, competitor evaluation, Google Posts, and data health. Name the profiles, listings, local pages, and recurring checks in scope.
Reviews and reputation Review management and review responses are outside every tier. Reputation Agent lists review responses, new-review solicitation, sentiment analysis, surveys, and chats. Decide whether reputation work belongs in this engagement and who handles it.
Social Social media management is outside every tier. Social Agent lists content strategy, social publishing, engagement replies, image and video generation, and direct messages. Decide whether social channels sit inside the same operating brief.
Reporting The public report page covers what shipped and what is next. Profile metrics include views, calls, directions, site visits, and the searches that found the profile. SOCi's public page names agent responsibilities. Use a fixed profile-performance check when comparing reporting. Require the same period, location, source metrics, and completed work from either buying path.
Public price status The pricing page publishes month-to-month tiers and says there is no setup fee, no contract, or per-location charge. The public page displayed Get Started and Get Demo calls to action, with no numeric plan amount, named tier price, or billing unit in the October 5, 2026 reading. Compare a public tier schedule with a location-based buying conversation.

Is Maps Agent limited to one location?

The public Maps Agent pricing page describes work around a Google Business Profile and says there is no per-location charge. Treat that as a billing statement, then ask how many profiles and locations each proposal covers and how it handles access and the handoff between them.1

Google's guidance distinguishes managing an individual Business Profile from managing multiple profiles in bulk. Google says an individual Business Profile can be managed on Search and Maps, while multiple profiles can be managed in bulk with Business Profile Manager.3 For the practical difference between maintaining one profile and several, see the Google Maps optimization guide. Ask how each proposal handles one profile, several profiles, access, and the handoff between them.

What does Maps Agent include and leave outside its public tiers?

Maps Agent's public page describes profile publishing, a public report page, and profile numbers including views, calls, directions, site visits, and the searches that found the profile. The Maps Agent pricing page lists the three named tiers.1

Maps Agent tier Publicly listed work
Autopost Four original-image posts each month; one-time business research before the first post; a public report page showing what shipped and what is next; and profile numbers covering views, calls, directions, site visits, and the searches that found the profile.
AI Team Everything listed for Autopost, plus 100 keywords each month mapped to intent and a specific service; four new Google Products each month; four Q&A posts each month; four Q&A services each month; business description optimization; a position-grid rank report with competitors; and images matched to the trade and city.
Partner Everything listed for Autopost and AI Team, plus a human team including a personal manager; the customer's own photos instead of generated ones; manual quality control of AI-shipped work; and a meet-your-team call before buying.

The same page places review management, review responses, citation building, directory listings, call tracking, social media management, website building, rank guarantees, a live dashboard, and an approval workflow under “What no tier includes.” Those boundaries apply to Maps Agent only. Ask SOCi to state equivalent responsibilities and exclusions in writing.1

What public price can I verify for SOCi?

SOCi's public page displayed Get Started and Get Demo calls to action but no numeric plan amount, named tier price, or billing unit in its page text on October 5, 2026.2

Ask for the written price basis, included locations, included channels, recurring work, reporting, and cancellation terms before treating the two offers as comparable. The comparison index is the place to check other dated vendor pages.

What does SOCi say its agents do?

SOCi's public page presents three named responsibility groups under its Agentic Workforce:2

  • Local Search Agent: manage listings, optimize local pages, evaluate competitors, publish Google Posts, and maintain data health.
  • Reputation Agent: respond to reviews, solicit new reviews, analyze sentiment, deploy surveys, and respond to chats.
  • Social Agent: create content strategies, publish social content, reply to engagements, generate images and videos, and answer direct messages.

The public page describes SOCi's Genius Agents as working 24/7 across all channels and locations.2

Use those responsibilities to build a written list of locations, channels, owners, approval paths, and reporting requirements before comparing proposals.

How should I compare the listings, reviews, social, and reporting work?

Use the same scope matrix with both vendors:

  1. List every Google Business Profile and physical location in the brief.
  2. Put each task under local search, reputation, social, profile content, or reporting.
  3. Record who can make changes, who approves them, and who removes access.
  4. State whether work repeats per profile, is grouped by location, or crosses channels.
  5. Define the report period, source metrics, location label, and completed-work record.
  6. Mark every responsibility that remains outside the written offer.

Use the written offer to confirm the locations, channels, report views, and responsibilities before signing.

How can I repeat the reporting check for one or more profiles?

Google says performance data is available only for verified profiles, and the person checking must be signed in to the Google Account associated with the profile.4

  1. Verify the Business Profile and sign in to its associated Google Account.
  2. For one profile, open the profile in Search and click Performance. For multiple profiles, open Business Profile Manager to select profiles for a spreadsheet download. Google's bulk-management path uses Add business → Import businesses, file selection, Preview changes, Apply, and Review changes when you need to import or update locations.3 The same Google guidance says hotel attributes cannot be updated through spreadsheet upload; use the API and dashboard for those attributes. Accepted formats are .xls, .xlsx, .ods, and .csv.3
  3. Choose a fixed date range.
  4. Compare the available views, clicks, and other customer interactions for the same period and location labels.
  5. If the account manages multiple profiles, download the performance data in a spreadsheet to compare locations.

Google notes that only metrics that apply to the business appear, and that not every metric is available to every business.4 Use the same period and location labels when you compare a vendor's report with the underlying Google check.

Which should I choose, Maps Agent or SOCi?

Maps Agent's public description fits a brief defined around a Google Business Profile when the offer's stated boundaries fit the brief. Its public page describes profile-level work and no per-location charge.1

SOCi's public description fits a brief that calls for the cross-channel and multi-location responsibility groups its public page names: listings and local pages, reputation work, and social publishing and engagement.2

Neither public description is a ranking outcome or a substitute for a written scope. Before choosing, match the location list, responsibility matrix, access owner, reporting period, and price path to the work you actually need. For a broader buying framework, read how to choose who does local SEO for you.

How was this comparison checked?

On October 5, 2026, the Maps Agent public pricing page and SOCi public page were read as rendered. The Maps Agent page has no pricing toggle; it renders three named plan cards. The SOCi homepage presents Get Demo and Get Started controls and linked agent pages, rather than a public pricing toggle or numeric amount.12

To repeat the comparison, open each vendor page as rendered and record what it displays:

  1. Record each Maps Agent plan name, exact displayed price string, billing basis, inherited scope, quantities, and published boundaries from the Maps Agent pricing page.
  2. Record SOCi's named Local Search, Reputation, and Social responsibilities from its public page, then record whether that same rendered page displays a numeric amount, named tier price, or billing unit.
  3. Keep each price in the billing unit its page prints. Do not turn an unpriced page, a quote, a per-location amount, or an annual amount into a monthly equivalent.
  4. Date the read and ask for written locations, responsibilities, reporting, price basis, and cancellation terms before treating unlike offers as equivalent.
  5. Repeat the check quarterly, and sooner if a named page or the live catalog changes its URL, plan name, displayed price, billing basis, buyer control, public scope, or cancellation language.
