Can Google Business Profile owners see who viewed their profile?
Google Business Profile owners cannot see the names or Google Accounts of people who viewed their profile. Google reports an aggregate Views count, search terms, and interaction counts for verified profiles, but its help community replies say identifying viewer information is unavailable. The report tells you how many people viewed a profile, not who they were.
What can Google Business Profile owners see about profile viewers?
Google Business Profile owners and managers can see aggregate performance data for a verified profile, including Views, Searches, and customer actions on Google Search and Google Maps. Google's Business Profile performance guide says the report uses a selected date range and includes data from organic search results and Google Ads.
| Report item | What it tells you | What it does not tell you |
|---|---|---|
| Views | How many people viewed the Business Profile on Search and Maps. | The names or Google Accounts of those viewers. |
| Searches | The search terms people used to find the business. | Which person used a search term. |
| Interactions | A summary of actions such as calls, website clicks, directions, messages, bookings, product views, menu clicks, and offer views or clicks, when the feature applies. | Who made each counted interaction. |
The report does not turn those totals into a named visitor list. The person checking the report must be signed in to the Google Account associated with a verified profile, and Google shows only the metrics that apply to that business.
Do Google Business Profile Views show who visited?
No. A Views number is an aggregate count, not a list of Google Accounts, names, or other viewer identities. Two Google Business Profile Help community replies give the same practical answer. One reply from Diamond Product Expert Amy Toman says:
“No, this information is currently not available from Google Business Profiles.”
Amy Toman, Diamond Product Expert, Google Business Profile Help community reply, accessed September 28, 2026.
The reply identifies Amy Toman as a Product Expert rather than Google staff, so it is a community explanation, not a quoted Google policy. A second Google Business Profile Help community reply from a Product Expert Alumni also says Google does not provide information identifying who viewed a business profile.
How does Google count Business Profile Views?
Google defines Views as the number of people who viewed a Business Profile on Search and Maps. The metric counts unique visitors, counts a person once per day, and can count the same person a limited number of times across devices or between Search and Maps. It excludes overall views of the business on Google.
| Views rule | What it means |
|---|---|
| Unique visitors | The figure is not a raw total of every profile load. |
| Once per day | A person is counted only once per day in the stated counting rule. |
| Limited cross-device and cross-platform counting | The same person may be counted a limited number of times across devices and between Search and Maps. |
| Business Profile views only | The figure does not represent every time the business was viewed on Google. |
Google says the Views number can be lower than figures shown on a Business Profile or in email notifications because the Views metric counts unique visitors under these rules. Treat Views as a profile-view measure, not an identity signal.
Can Google Business Profile performance data show the searches people used?
Yes. The Searches metric shows the terms people used to find the business, but it does not identify the people who searched. Google says the metric updates at the start of each month and may take up to five days to appear. The queries shown cannot be directly managed by the business.
Search terms answer a discovery question: which queries brought the profile into view? They do not answer an identity question: which person searched? For the definitions of Views, Searches, calls, directions, and other report cards, see Google Business Profile performance metrics.
Does the Google Business Profile API expose viewer identities?
Google's current Business Profile Performance API reference lists daily metric time series and monthly search-keyword impressions for a location. Google's older Business Profile API metric reference lists aggregate query, Search and Maps view, website, phone, driving-direction, and photo metrics. Neither reference lists a viewer name or Google Account field.
An API connection can retrieve the documented performance measures, but it does not turn the performance report into a list of individual profile viewers.
What should I use Google Business Profile performance data for?
Use the report to compare aggregate profile activity over a selected date range. Views show profile exposure, Searches show the terms that led people to the profile, and action metrics show what people did next when the relevant feature was available. The report can help an owner understand activity without revealing the identity of the people behind the totals.
The Google Business Profile hub covers the profile's fields, access, and related decisions. Performance data is useful for measuring activity; it is not a visitor-identification tool.

Common questions
- Can I see the Google Account names of people who viewed my Business Profile?
- No. Google Business Profile performance reporting provides aggregate Views and action metrics. Google Business Profile Help community replies say Google does not provide the names, Google Accounts, or other identifying information for people who viewed a business profile.
- Can I see how many people viewed my Google Business Profile?
- Yes. The Views metric reports how many people viewed the Business Profile on Google Search and Google Maps. Google says the metric counts unique visitors, counts a person once per day, and can count a person a limited number of times across devices and between Search and Maps.
- Can I see what people searched before they found my profile?
- You can see the search terms people used to find the business through the Searches metric. The metric does not identify the searchers. Google says Searches updates at the start of each month and may take up to five days to appear.
- Do Google Business Profile views show every profile opening?
- No. Google counts unique visitors rather than every opening, counts a person once per day, and excludes overall views of the business on Google. The Views total can therefore differ from figures shown on a profile or in email notifications.
