Google Business Profile re-verification
Definition
Google Business Profile re-verification is Maps Agent's label for the documented state in which Google asks a previously verified profile to verify again. Google's Help pages use "re-verify" and "verify again", not this noun.1

The visible signal tells you which documented branch you are in. A repeated Get verified button means Google could not completely verify the business and tells the owner to try again. A request for additional information to re-verify is likely related to recently updated business details. Review issues after video verification means Google did not accept the video; select it and follow the on-screen instructions.1
Google documents re-verification conditions for some edits, not a rule that every profile edit triggers it. A verified business-name change might require verification again, moving a verified business to a new address must be followed by verification again, and adding or editing an existing category might lead to another verification request.2,3 The cited edit-status page calls Pending, Not approved, and Accepted statuses for saved edits: Pending means the edit is still under review, Not approved means Google might not approve it if it cannot confirm accuracy, and Accepted means the updated information displays. These statuses are separate from the re-verification signals above.4
Google automatically determines which verification methods a profile can use from factors such as business type, public information, region, or business hours, and some businesses may need more than one method. For a live video call, Google's examples cover the current location, the business or its equipment, and proof that the owner manages it. Start with the Google Business Profile verification workflow, and use the re-verification troubleshooting guide when the prompt follows an edit.1
A re-verification prompt does not, by itself, establish an appeal decision. Google's appeal guidance describes a conditional support route for rejected business-information edits for businesses outside the UK and EEA; it does not establish an appeal for every re-verification prompt.5
